The Food Pyramid tells us the amount of each food we should eat in one day.
These are called portions

The bottom of the pyramid is the fruit and vegetables. The yucky foods!




The bottom of the food pyramid has the bread, pasta and potatoes.




Next is the milk, yoghurt and cheese. These are also called dairy . They come from cows.




Then there is the meat, fish and eggs. They are called protein and hlp us to grow big and strong.



The top of the pyramid has all of the yummy food like chocolate jellies and doughnuts. But they are bad for us and we should only eat them sometimes.





It is important that we eat all of the foods and the right amount of them so that we can grow and be big and strong.
