Introduction
You probably know the devastating virus called Covid. It has terrorized everywhere on Earth for three years and may go on longer. You probably remember the terrible time when cases soared up and never seemed to be able to ever stop. Or, maybe, the story was told by your parents. Whatever the case, the “Pandemic” was an incredible and horrible turn in world history.
What is Covid?
Covid might be the most deadliest virus the world has ever seen. So, lets start, where did it begin? The Coronavirus first cases were in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. It spread from there to the rest of the world. Our human immune system had never seen this new virus making them vulnerable as this virus made news all around the world. It forced schools to shut down, stores and restaurants to go out of business, and due to Covid, the Summer Olympics got postponed.

Variants/Types
Right now there are four variants of Covid. I’ll be telling you the three main variants. Well, by now, you might be asking what is a variant? A variant is a form, version, or type of something. In this case we are talking about the variants of Covid.
Let’s start with the first and original variant. The original version of Covid is just called… Covid-19, the Coronavirus, and the Pandemic. It is the first one, easy to catch and very harmful. The next newest is the Delta Virus. It is way deadlier then the first but, fortunately, it is not very easy to catch. And the newest, the Omicron, may be, as some people say, “the end of covid.” Why do the say that? Well, the Omicron is very easy to catch but at the max just about a fever or a cold. As you can see, all the variants have strengths and weaknesses.

How Does Covid Effect the Day to Day Life?
One of the most severe changes is getting used to so many people catching this virus. This can be at first unbelievable and scary, especially how covid cases go up and down.
One of the biggest changes is that businesses and restaurants went out of business resulting in so many people losing their jobs around the world. People couldn’t be as social as they used to- now we have Zoom meetings. Also, not traveling because we don't want to risk catching covid on a plane visiting family, friends or just having a vacation.

The Vaccine
The hero appeared in March, 2021. Well, not a physical being but it was the vaccine. What is a vaccine? Well, a vaccine in short is basically something that is injected into your body and gives you antibodies that defend you from one or many viruses or diseases. It is a hope for the end of covid if enough people can get the vaccine.
