A young boy learns to push himself in order to play basketball for his school's team. 

Bouncing to Victory

Eventually, James became a starter on the Middle School basketball team. 

As the weeks passed, James continued practicing and eventually became skilled and confident at basketball.

After basketball, James and Steph went to his house. James told his best friend that if he did not get any better he would quit the basketball team. 

On a hot day in the fall, there was a boy named James. He wanted to start on the middle school basketball team, so he tried out. Gratefully, he made the team, but he was bench warmer.

In the end, James learns that practice and hard work do pay off. He was glad he never gave up on his dream of playing basketball.

Yea, we won the middle school championship.&#160;

We all get trophies. I'm living the dream.

Sadly, James did not get that much playing time, and in some games, he got no playing time at all. 

I wish I was as good as my teammates.&#160;

Even though James was still a bench warmer, the coach noticed he was getting better, so he put him in for a few more minutes.  

James, even though you play a lot more, you are still bad at basketball.&#160;

Steph wanted James to improve, so they did many basketball drills at the local, basketball gym. First, James practiced with his shooting. He then practiced with his dribbling. Lastly, Steph and James did one on one's until James was able to score points on Steph.
