FAQ
What happens if my child forgets their device or it breaks in the middle of the day?
Students can go to the Library Learning Commons and borrow a Chromebook for the day. We do not have long-term loaners available. Families experiencing financial hardship can participate in our THS Chromebook Program. See below.
Can I use my Chromebook from Middle School?
Yes, however, Chromebooks provided to students at Madison or Hillcrest Middle School are no longer supported by the Trumbull Public Schools and would be considered part of our BYOD Program.
What support is available for families who have a financial need?
Families experiencing economic hardship may request a fee waiver by contacting your school administrator and following the process outlined in Board of Education 5138/Pay to Participate Policy. https://www.trumbullps.org/Attachments/pac/policies/5000/5138_Pay_to_Participate.pdf
Once approved you will be contacted on how to proceed
If I can't get my BYOD device to connect to the WiFi. What are my next steps?
Directions are available from the TPS IT Department on connecting to the WiFi. Technicians and school personnel are not able to support devices that are not part of the THS Chromebook Loaner Program.
I lost my charger. Can I get a new one?
Trumbull High School does not have extra/additional chargers available. Students are expected to come to school each day with a fully charged device and it is suggested that they bring a charger with them in the case of the battery diminishing during the day. New Chromebook chargers are available from the Library Learning Commons for a $25 fee.
