I'm from California but I love my home here in Utah. I love to travel, read, and be outside. I love to laugh, dance, and see my family. They live all over the world and I love spending time with them when I can.
I've been volunteering in special education since I was 11 and I have loved each and every wonderful person I've met along the way. This is my second year in Jordan District and I am thrilled to be here. I have a lot to learn but I know that we will see amazing things as we work together this year.
WE WEAR MASKS AT SCHOOL! Please come with a mask and a refillable water bottle for school every day!
Schedule:
Every morning, students are met at the buses by teachers and walked to the classroom as a group. Students who are dropped off will join the class as they arrive. Class begins at 9:00 with a short class meeting to prep students for our schedule. We have Reading and Writing in the mornings. Lunch starts at 11:20 and is followed by recess. After lunch, we will have Math, Social Studies/Science, and Rotations (Art, PE, Music, Computers, and Library). Some students will be pulled out during this time for additional Speech and Guidance services if scheduled. Mainstreaming in the general classroom occurs in each student’s best area to ensure that they have positive and productive experience learning with their peers. As a class, we walk to the buses at 3:20. Each day is filled with fun!

Each student will have a communication journal in their backpack to help us all stay in touch. These journals include a general report on their morning and afternoon, while informing you of what we are working on in the classroom. I would ask that you check it every day and initial it so I can be sure you are getting these notices. I am available for more urgent concerns, but this will be an easy way to document all our conversations.
Lunch Accounts:
Please watch lunch account funds! A notice will be sent home through the cafeteria letting you know when the accounts reach a negative balance. We do not serve breakfast here, so please eat at home. If you have further questions, please feel free to contact the office.
Absent/Late:
If your child will not be here, please call the office at 801-567-8950.

Friday will be a little different every week, but I will have office hours from 10:30-11 in the morning. PLEASE EMAIL ME FOR A TIME SLOT DURING THAT TIME. From 11-2, there will be online lessons and materials (more information to come) for students followed by a Q&A at the end of that time block from 1:45-2 with the whole class. Students may be invited to meet at Antelope Canyon for additional classroom time (probably once a month each). Notes will go home about that the Friday before notifying you on their invitation to school.

Everything online will begin August 31st! This is to give us enough time to transition to our digital class. More information will be coming out as we get it.
