The need for English as one of the foreign languages studied in Indonesian schools, brings this book to the fore. The author has tried to develop your skills in the use of English through this book. It aims to build your language, discourse, socio-cultural and strategic competence. All components help you understand English and use it as a medium of communication. INTRODUCTION
Description

"We Can Do It and We Will Do It" has come to you, to help you learn English material through various activities. Some times you will study and do activities in groups, perform in pairs, and also work individually. After studying the material, it is expected to be able to apply the knowledge, skills, and character values in everyday life. This module includes several materials related to the basic competencies of the 2013 curriculum for eighth grade students in the first semester. Expressions and grammar that students need are introduced. Explanations and special vocabulary are also presented at the beginning to make it easier for students to explore learning activities.

HOW TO USE THE MODULE
To maximize the result of using the module, you should do the folowing :
1. Pray before you start learning
2. Read the instuction clearly and do the activity in order from the beginning to the reflection
3. In the end of learning activity, check your comprehension by doing the exercise and evaluation
4. You will be considere “passed” if you reach the passing grade of your school
5. If you find any difficulties in learning ask your teacher

4. Processing, presenting and reasoning in the concrete realm (using, parsing, assembling, modifying or creating) and abstract realms (writing, reading, counting, drawing and composing) according to what is learned in school and other sources that are the same in point of view/ theory. 





3.2 Applying social functions, text structures and linguistic elements of spoken and written transactional interaction texts that involve the act of giving and asking for information related to ability and willingness, taking an action according to the context of its manufacture (Note the linguistic elements can, will)

Capability or ability is the quality of being able to perform, a quality that permits or facilitates achievement or accomplishment. The ability or capability of doing something can be expressed in several ways. The most common verb forms are: can, be (is, am, are), able to, could and be (was, were) able to. "Can and be (is, am, are) able to " are used at present time while " could and be (was, were) able to " are used at past one.
