Introduction

Welcome to Milton and the 17 Global Goals and the book Milton and the cool green energy.
The material is aimed at schooling or for use at home.
We recommend that you get to know Milton and his friends in My name is Milton! Here, where students are introduced to Milton's universe.
In Milton and the cool green energy, students become acquainted with the UN's 17 Global Goals and take Milton on a trip to Greenland to learn about Global Goal 13 - Climate action.
The books are written for reading aloud in class or at home.
In the digital edition of the Milton Books, students can read the books, have the books read aloud and work on fun and exciting exercises for the story of Milton in Book Creator.

Students must:

In the introduction to the book Milton and the Cool Green Energy, Conrad, Milton and Amanda talk about the wild weather.

They talk about difficult words such as global warming, climate change, the greenhouse effect and about the UN's Global Goal 13 - Climate Action.

On page 10, students should make a drawing of the earth and the sun sending its rays toward the earth. It should help them understand how the sun heat the earth and how the atmosphere protects the earth.

Use the drawing on page 7 as a starting point.

On the exercise pages, students must work with the 2 new concepts:

Greenhouse effect

Ultraviolet rays

In the two different exercises, the students must try to write the 2 words

Page 11: The word Greenhouse effect is cut to pieces. the syllable 'house' is replaced by an image. Students must find the right order and write it in the word boxes.

Page 12: The letters in the word Ultraviolet rays are blown away. Students must collect the words by putting the missing letters in place in the boxes.
