Aspire is a vibrant, highly successful and widely recognised Trust determined to raise standards of educational achievement to the very highest levels. We don’t just aim for our children to achieve what is average or expected, but for them to excel both academically and in character.
We live in a global economy that requires our children to be prepared to think both critically and creatively, solve complex problems, and to communicate well. Mastery of the basics: reading, writing, maths and technology is our core purpose, and this sits firmly alongside ensuring our children have well-developed social and emotional skills. Aspire academies have a strong emphasis on the sport, arts and social, moral spiritual and cultural education.
All our 36 schools and academies are an integral part of their local communities and have a real sense of identity. We value the contribution each of our communities makes and the distinctive opportunities and diversity it offers to the trust. By working in true partnership, we offer exceptional learning experiences to all our children, so they benefit from the strength that being part of the extended Aspire family brings. I look forward to hopefully welcoming you to the Aspire family!

Head of School Welcome
Welcome to our Explorers Stage at Nansledan School!
Skol Nansledan strives to provide an outstanding education that ensures pupils can reach their greatest potential and live by life’s highest values. Academic success and character are of equal importance as we prepare our pupils for the future. We have shaped our STEAM curriculum around Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics.
It is in our Explorers Stage, through our play-based STEAM Curriculum, that solid foundation blocks are created for all further learning to take place. This is a crucial stage of exploration and discovery where our children are immersed in learning that is practical, experiential and builds on what has gone before.
Our main aim for this stage is to give children the broad range of knowledge and skills that provide the right foundation for good future progress through school and life. The children of Nansledan School will be the innovators, educators, leaders and learners of the 21st century and the school motto “Today’s Learners, Tomorrow’s Leaders” reflects this vision.
We look forward to partnering with you as your child begins their school life.

Vision & Values
Through the deliberate nurturing of intellectual curiosity, self-reliance and tenacity of purpose, children develop as independent life-long learners, creative risk-takers and innovators.
Our VIRTUES develop character and academic strength:
We are very proud of our school and the opportunities and experiences it offers to the children within our community. Our aim is to provide an outstanding education, in an unreserved spirit of adventure, ensuring pupils can reach their greatest potential and live by life's highest values.
We strive to both inspire and equip children for the jobs of the future, nurturing and developing happy, intelligent and employable global citizens who demonstrate social competence, a desire for learning and respect for each other and the world around them. To do this, we ensure learning is purposeful and the children understand the relevance of the knowledge and skills we teach. With this in mind, our motto is "Today's Learners - Tomorrow's Leaders".
