My Day in the Life!

The school bus is finally here! I have history class today and I am so excited. We are learning about Mexico's history and it is very interesting. Let's hop on board the bus to go to school!

It looks like I am a bit late to class, but I will see you guys after school to tell you what I learned!

Hey guys, I just finished school! In history I learned about the history of Mexico. Did you know that Mexico officially became a country in 1821. Also, Mexico is where you'll find the oldest university in North America. The history of Mexico began on&nbsp;September 16, 1810. Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, a priest from the town of Dolores, issued a call to rebellion. In response to this act, rebel leader Vicente Guerrero and defected royal general Agustín de Itúrbide, they collaborated together to gain Mexico's independence from Spain in 1821. It was sure cool to learn about Mexico's history! I'll see you guy's when I get home!

Even though I speak English, the article is in Spanish. Spanish is my main language that I speak at school and normally at home. I am practicing my English and the translation makes it easier too. This article gave me a lot of information about how the government works, I want to ask my dad if there are any problems with the government though. 

Oooo it smells so good! My mom made tacos for dinner. Taco's are a very popular food in Mexico. It is a corn or flour shell, with beef or chicken meat inside with the adding's of lettuce, cheese, and sour cream. They are so good! After everyone eats dinner, it is my duty to clean the dishes. 

My dad is home for his job! Now I want to ask him about where does Mexico rank, what are current big issues facing Mexico and some outlooks for it. Then I'll check back in with you guys about what important info he said!<br/>

This is my mom, although she cleans houses, her cooking is amazing! For breakfast she makes pan dulce which is a Mexican dish and tastes like sweet bread. It is my favorite food! She speaks more Spanish than English, so at home our whole family speaks Spanish. The most common word we use is Hola, meaning hello! 

Now that I am back home, it is time to start my homework. My homework usually takes 50 mins and then I have to start on my chores doing the dishes. My brother usually does his homework and then plays football outside. Today my homework is to read an article on Mexico's government! My dad is also a lawyer so he knows a lot about the government. Here is the article!

My dad answered all of my questions! Mexico is ranked 80th in all of the countries in the world for Sustainable Development Status. The main problems we are facing is insecurity, criminality and drug trafficking. Mexico is try to find solutions to these problems by putting those criminals in jail and making safe organizations for people in need of help. Now that I finished talking with my dad, I get ready for bed!

This is my brother, he and I go to school together. We go to a public school and I am in seventh grade and he is in ninth grade. A lot of students in our school don't dress as formal as us, they wear clothes like Americans do. We like to embrace our culture by wearing clothing like our ancestors used to wear. Now that we are done with breakfast, we have to go outside to catch the bus!

The first things I do when I get up in the morning is make my bed and get ready for school. After I am finished with those tasks, I go to the kitchen to eat breakfast before going to school.

My mom is a housekeeper and my dad is a lawyer. My family immigrated here for a better life.
