Studies done on fast food ( Junk Food ).
Unlike other recent studies, which have taken as a parameter the density of fast food in cities or per capita consumption, the researchers considered how many times in a year a person buys in a fast food restaurant (actions called "transactions").
These Transactions have been related to the average trend of the body mass index or BMI (parameter given by the weight ratio expressed in kilograms and the height expressed in meters squared, which defines the limit between normality, overweight and obesity corresponding to three indices (25, from 25 to 30 and more than 30), for the period between 1999 and 2008.

Even the individual data confirm the parallelism between the increase in fast food attendance and weight: among the countries in which the number of transactions per capita in fast food has increased the most as in Britain.
