Simile Poem:
Extended Metaphor Poem:
Simile Poem, by Sylas K.

Some will live, some will die.

My life is like apple pie.

As Warm in the centre, hard on the outside.

Our world as delicate.

Our world so small.

We should all, be prepared to fall.

We need to change.

We need to understand

What we do to our world.

Will come round' to haunt us all.

Complementary Text:

For my simile poem, I used our last project for guidance. Im really proud of how I combined what we did in our last project, and repurposed it for my very own "Simile Poem."
Extended Metaphorical Poem, by Sylas K.

Our government not concerned, not a spark in their eyes. That our world is close to its demise. I see nothing but destruction of our natural habitat. Why must they go without noticing they are the destructors of the place we call home. We protest we show our worries. We all understand the situation we are in. Our government so blind, no sight for care. We need to show our government that they, need to care, about our slow disappear.

Complementary Text:
For my extended metaphorical poem, I decided to right about climate change. Climate change is one of the worst issues this worlds has right now, and I've decided to write my opinion or "Worldview" on it. Im really proud of how I used one of my last poets I made in grade 8, and repurposed it for this project.
My 3 Haikus:
Me mountain biking

Exhilarating and fun

Broken wheel, fall, pain.

Haiku, by Sylas K.

Found Poem:
The Song:

Monday morning
busy dreaming
stranger in your own life
hiding behind eyes
no one looking
The song saved my life
I don't sing it, its just so I can get by
hear me when I tell you
I sing it to survive
looking for a miracle
science can't explain
The stranger in your own life
I will find you there
worst and best days of my life
broken, now I'm open
Your song saved my life

Imagery Poem:
Forest, By Sylas K.

As I enter the majestic forest,
Cool, fresh air fills my chest.
The sound of tiny birds singing softly fills my ears, The sound is peaceful, free and clear.
My footsteps crunching abound on the uneven ground,
Sharp rocks and tiny twisted twigs are all to be found.
The air is lined with the fresh smell of pine,
I feel the warmth of the pleasant sunshine.
As I look at those massive looming trees,
I feel calm within that warm breeze.
The forest so bright and full of life,
Its magnificence is larger than life.

THE END

Sound Poem:

My worldview is my view of the world
Shaped by mountains, mountains shape me
Trails guide me, brakes squeak, squeal
Tires spinning, wind whirling
suspension compressing, frame creaking
Screech, squeal, squeak
Wind rushing, eyes watering
Heart pumping, body shaking
The bike as my companion
Transporting me home

Media:
Media is an expression of world views
Reshaping the original story to generate clicks for news
Insane to follow the insanity
What does the network want the viewers to see
Same event, different views
Building a name for their channel, brand or news
Insanity

YouTube: A place to express yourself
Goofy people gaining wealth
Can be a dangerous place
Misinformation, wrong perspective, fast pace
So many choices and attitudes
Often inappropriate and crude
Viral

Media influences our world mind set
Endless information, sanity threat.
