Adhesive Trouble Shooting

Did the adhesive placed on your prosthetic stay a liquid or did it firm up (cure)?

Be sure to mix the adhesive enough but not so much that it begins to cure before you are done properly positioning your prosthetic :)

Did you use exactly 3ml of Part A and 3ml of Part B?

I used exactly 3ml of Part A and 3ml of Part B

I might have used less than 3ml of Part A and Part B

HELPFUL HINT

When refilling syringes:

- Place the caps on the tips

- Be sure that you are putting Part A in Syringe A etc...

- Remove the plunger and fill them to the 10ml mark from the back.

- Once they are full replace the plunger and set tip end up until air is at the top

- Remove caps and push out air.

- Make sure that both syringes have the same amount of adhesive in them

It sounds like you may be experiencing one of the following issues. Don't worry... practice makes perfect :)

- Air may be trapped between your self adhesive sheet and your prosthetic.

- Your adhesive may have cured before you could get good contact with the sheet.

- Perhaps the prosthetic wasn't pressed down throughout the curing process.

It's important to take care to push all of the bubbles out from under the tab as well as from under the shaft by pressing it firmly down.

Temperature affects how quickly or slowly the adhesive cures:

-High temperatures speed curing.
-Low temperatures slow curing.
-Temperatures at 70*F takes 5-10 minutes to cure.

It's important to press the prosthetic down throughout the curing process, especially the area under the shaft.
