November/December 2023Loading...
Welcome to our second edition of The Explorer for this academic year 2023-2024.
We hope you enjoy reading and listening to our students' favourite footballer and which teams they support, the Winter Sports our students enjoy, and what their special "Christmas"/winter foods are. Perhaps you might try some of the recipes!?
We also hope you will be interested, and maybe amazed, how some cultures celebrate New Year: we laughed long and hard about children in Greece traditionally being woken up on January 1st by being tapped on the head with an onion!!
There's also some of our favourite singers and you may like to sing along to some of them, and read about special events throughout November and December.
Look and see what's happening at the start of next year.
Happy reading for our Winter holidays!

World Freedom Day November 9th, 2023.
What is World Freedom Day?
World Freedom Day is a global event to commemorate the fall of The Berlin Wall in 1989.
The demolition of the Berlin Wall which divided east and West Germany marked the triumph of freedom over oppression.
The day is a global reminder of the importance of freedom, democracy, and human rights.
