INTRODUCTION
A Virtual Journey through our amazing countries
"United in Diversity" is the main motto of the European Community and with this project we wanted to accomplish this goal by simply sharing the students' way of life, encouraging them to be open to respectful discussions and crosscultural understanding .
By sharing information about each other's customs, traditions and practices they have broaden their horizons and developed empathy , tolerance and overcome stereotypes and prejudices.
The students have improved language and literacy skills, communicative and speaking skills by exchanging e-mails, postcards, creating videos and powerpoints and showing them to their friends from Turkey, Italy, Poland and Spain. They have increased their fluency during their live meetings and they have become aware of some important topics like well-being through brainstorming and teamwork and by using different web tools.
Despite all differences they have realized that we are all part of the same world and that we can achieve broader outcomes if we work together.
It has been a very long journey during which we have found a few obstacles but our strong will to pursue common aims has been stronger than ever.
Thanks to all teachers for their effort and precious collaboration. It wouldn't have been the same without them.
