Global Sustainability from the Bioethical Perspective

Carme Perelló Íñiguez, an expert in bioethics, encouraged students to think about global sustainability, what it is and why it is important for the people of the world. This activity allowed the students to understand the essence of this topic and thus broaden its scope in society. The lecturer asked the following questions: do humans have the right to interfere in the environment? Is it ethical to exploit animals to improve one's life? How could humans use technology to improve the environment?

Recycling and giving Things a new Life

The aim of this activity is to help children better understand the purpose of recycling and how they can participate effectively in this work. Children attended a training session on recycling. They made various items from recyclables and industrial waste. Often people say that it is rubbish, but it is not, with creativity we can turn it into useful and practical things. The pupils sorted the waste into appropriate streams. The activity raised students' awareness about recycling.

Facing and dealing with Change: a Challenge for future Youth around Europe

ERASMUS+corner Students from all the partner countries have chosen a space in their schools where they have placed a notice board. The main goal of this activity is to make the educational community aware of our Erasmus+ project.

Diversity and Inclusion from a Bioethical Perspective

Mrs Carme Perelló Íñiguez, philosopher, MD in Bioethics and PhD researcher has run the following workshop dealing with the following issues: Describe the concepts of diversity and inclusion from a bioethical perspective. Help students understand the importance of diversity and the role of inclusive approaches in today’s citizen life. Put emphasis on equal opportunities in promotion boosting empathy among citizens. Help teachers address the needs of diversity in class.

Climate Change: The human Factor behind the Problem

In this workshop, each country explored and highlighted the responsibility of one specific human activity for the phenomenon of climate change . Schools presented results and proposed solutions to reduce the impact of human activities on the natural environment. The activities took the students through various stages. Each school group carried out a research project. Pupils gathered information by searching the internet, visiting various museums and consulting experts. The results and conclusions of the research were shared through a video conference. The pupils proposed solutions that could help solve the various problems. Using ICT tools, the students created a digital poster summarizing not only the causes and results, but also the solutions and suggestions made by the students. All groups drew up a list of necessary reforms that they believe governments should adopt as environmentally friendly policies.

Our Green Classroom

Students created a green area where they planted flowers, trees and plants. They also created garden elements from recycled materials. It is a space they have created for themselves, where they can relax, enjoy the fresh air and the inspiring surroundings. In good weather, some classes can be held here. This green area will be used as a place for learning and relaxation during lessons and breaks.

Workshop Endangered Species of our Environment: Turtles

One of the consequences of climate change is that some plants and animal species are disappearing. The Serbian school&nbsp;Sveti Sava Primary School&nbsp;has prepared&nbsp;a lecture dealing with this issue. The students in Serbia attend the lecture run by MA biologist&nbsp;Ana Samardžić. Other students from partner schools follow it online, via MEET. At the end of the lecture, all students were able to ask questions and discuss with the lecturer.

The project &nbsp;ended with a meeting of all partners and students in Brussels. We visited the Museum of Natural Sciences &nbsp;to learn about biodiversity, the Museum of European History to get knowledge about important moments in European history and the common principles of Europe. We got a closer look at the European Parliament, its founding, its history and its governance, met and talked to members of the European Parliament. Students &nbsp;presented their proposals for intervention on the climate crisis.

TADAS IVANAUSKAS ZOO MUSEUM Lithuanian Activity

The&nbsp;Tadas Ivanauskas Zoological Museum&nbsp;was established in&nbsp;Kaunas,&nbsp;Lithuania, in 1919 by&nbsp;Tadas Ivanauskas&nbsp;(1882–1970). The museum collects and exhibits various animals: hunting trophies,&nbsp;stuffed animals,&nbsp;insect collections, skeletons, dissections.&nbsp;It is also an educational and research institution.

All students from five schools have taken part in the Project Logo Contest organised by the teachers. Using different tools and using English we have all tried to find the very essence of our project. After voting, the coordinators of the project have chosen Ena Tomic’s logo - a student from the Serbian school&nbsp;Osnovna Skola Sveti Sava - as&nbsp;the winner. The winner has received a Certificate of Winner and all the rest a Certificate of Participation.

Rare Species. Carnivorous plants.

Ana Samardžić, MSc Biologist, gave a seminar on carnivorous plants. She explained how they are fed and what their natural habitat is like. Students from the Serbian school Osnovna Ŝkola Sveti Sava took part in a "live" presentation and had the opportunity to feed the plants with dried larvae. Other schools watched the workshop online via MEET. The pupils discussed with the lecturer and asked questions. After the presentation, the pupils researched rare species that can be found in their country, created a digital brochure and shared their results, raising awareness of natural diversity among all partner countries.
