Summer is coming, and we want to make sure everyone has options for reading! Just 15 minutes of reading, every day, can keep our minds sharp and ready for the fall.
Our public libraries are a great source for summer reading materials.
We also have several online options for reading. There are so many ways that we can find some great new books!

Students and Guardians can register at www.nyread.com. There you can create a profile, record your reading progress and earn a certificate!

Sora
School Library System has a collection of books purchased specifically for school districts, and provided through an app called Sora. (If you use Libby through the public library, this is very similar.)
To access:
1. Click this link
2. Choose Westhill (at the bottom of the list)
3. Click the button that says "Sign in using Westhill Central School District"
3. Choose your Westhill Google account to sign in.
Once you are in, you can:
-- Search in the top left corner for something specific
-- Use the “Collections” on the right side of the screen (in the blue banner) to see books specifically chosen for students
-- Scroll down to browse by “popular subjects.”
