Hello and welcome to this book!
Here some students shared their ambitions for their future.
We as group number 1 have three biographies to share: by Beatriz, Clara and Roberta.
We all discussed several questions like where do we see ourselves in 10-15 years, which job we are going to do, the benefits of the job, where we will live, whom we will live with, whether we will have family or not and so on....

Enjoy!

I actually don't know what I'll be in 10/15 years but I think I am going to work in the scientific field maybe as a doctor. This job has a lot of benefits like you can help people and you are also well paid. About the country where I want to live, I don't know yet but I hope that one day I can move out of Italy because I have always liked travelling and exploring new cultures. Probably I want to live with someone I care and having a family would be good even though I recognize that it's an important responsibility. If I'll have a family I'll figure out a way of how to combine both.

Roberta Iannarone, Italy
In 10 to 15 I see myself working successfully in my own house construction business, married and living in a lot of countries around the world, like Denmark, United States, Sweden, England ..., and then, when I feel exhausted of this lifestyle, I want to settle for the rest of my life in Melbourne, Australia, starting a family by adopting kids and still working on what I hope that is what I love to do.

Beatriz Silva, Portugal
I don´t have real plans for the future because I don´t know, how my life will look like in 10-15 years, but here are some ideas I have today:

I don´t see myself in a big city with all the rush. A rural area on the countryside would be a place, where I would like to live rather.

After school, I want to go to university. I am thinking about studying medicine, so maybe I will be a doctor when I am older.

I really would like to have a family in the future, but not that early, first I want to find a secure job and a secure home.

I am aware, that my opinion could change over the years. Maybe I will do something completely different in the future.

Clara, Germany
Group 2:
What job did you choose and why?
Midwife
"I want to be a midwife because I would love to help people, especially woman when they deliver their babies. I want to support them during their journey." -Maria
Economical Engineer
" I'm very interested in economical theory but don't want to just study business administration like the majority of people. I really want to get involved in the industry. As an economical engineer you not only care about business data but instead use your knowledge to improve production methods. Working in the pharmaceutical/chemical industry would be really cool. "
- Niklas
Fashion Designer
"I really would love to be a fashion designer, because I love fashion and being creative.
I want to make the clothing industry more climate friendly and create better working conditions. But also bring my ideas into the world and create clothes that people all over the world love!" I see myself traveling a lot and being independend and not tied to one place. -Selma
What do you expect from your Job?
"Good payment, a good working atmosphere and nice coworkers“
"Making a difference. Achieving something visible at the end of the day is very satisfying"
Who will you be with?
"living with people I know in a shared apartment"
"probably alone"
"my husband, children and dogs"
Looking into our personal future:
"We´ve discovered that many of us are not sure about their future job. We could trace this problem back to overwhelming opportunities nowadays in terms of different professions and also a lack of certainty - nobody knows what the future will provide. That also plays an important role when it comes to founding a family. Who knows in what kind of world our children will be raised." - Niklas
"This is probably derived from the broader variety of choices that nowadays we have. In fact if we confront our ambitions and our grandfathers' jobs there is a total change. In order to achieve a certain career one is required to have more skills and go through this big competition which is the working world." -Luca
