For me the first year was a bit difficult because i never do immersion and i wasn't having course of english in Primary school. But after the christmas holiday it was more easy to understand.

How I was feeling in 1 years immersion? A bit stressed but not a lot because I'm was doing. English until my kindengarden.

What were your favorite moments ? &amp; What were your difficulties ?

Immersion dinner was a good moment (organisation, eating, all the jokes,...) The Pairi express day was also cool with the two class of first grade and the two class of second grade it was cool but we didn't win. There is a good ambiance in the two classroom and that is very important Some course are a little bite complicated but with the help of the teachers everything is alright

Can you describe your first year in immersion:

My first year in immersion was great,I've met new people in my class and new teachers,even if we didn't do a lot of activities because of the covid,it was still nice because miss Herbinaux tried to do activites like the pancake contest or the laser game.

I was a little bit stressed. I didn't understand too much but I guessed the words. It was great !

can you describe your second year in immersion

My second year was great too, even if we didn't have the chance to go to the immersion trip.

My second year was great, it was easy because we were train in the first year of immersion.

i'm wtih my friends too but also because on my holliday i practise my english with my parents and my brother

Our favorites moments

At the begining of the year , we went to Pairi Daiza, and we did a very cool game: Pairi express. It was a game in english, just for the immersion. It was a very cool day with friends .

The last day before the Easter holidays, we did a quizz in class of sciences the boys VS the girls. That was really funny!  we didn't work during all the day, it was really cool. 

can you describe your first yearin immersion: 

We were really fine because we were in the same class and now too so. It was a really good experience , it was really good experience , it's easy to learn and to study.I recommend you to take immersion ,the teachers re really good and instructive.

2nd Immersion years : how I was?

The second year was more easy, when you start to know, your vocabulary is more easy to understand.

What was your favorite moments in immersion?

My favorie moments in first grades? My favorite moments it is when we was doing games in class, it was very cool!

favorite moments in second grades I think it was when we went to Pairy Daisa

In second year: we went to Pairi Daiza with the 1st and the 2nd years poeple. We did group of 6 and we had to find animals and write down their scientific name. In November we did the immersion dinner, It was great, we receive our immersion pullover this day... Well... this night...With Liona and Mathéo we did the Tombola.

I was a little bit desapointed at the beginning of the year because all my friends are in the other immersion class

in november we go on Pairidaiza. it's was very fun, we did a tresor hunting with the first year people

fot the christmas exam we painted on chairs.

The first year in immersion was not so complicated since we were in immersion since 3rd kindergarten .

For the second year it was more easier because we were used to how the teachers were working and how to be organized enough to have good grades .

The teachers always promote us !

Olivia : The immersion project and and also the English language was totaly new for me. For my first day at school my teacher spoke every time in English and I really didn't understand ! But after a few months, I adapted myself to the level of other students who had been immersion for a long time

Maxine: immersion wasn't new for me because i'm in immersion since kindergarden, so, i was able to speak english , but the secondary immersion was really different, i learn a lot of new things, and it was also more difficult

IMMERSION WAS A REALLY GREAT CHALLENGE !!

Before , we didn't know each other, now, with the immersion, we are bigs friends !!

When we arrived at school, we were not so shy because most of the pupils were already here before in 5 and 6 primary. The head teacher prepared a game to know more about each other and to discover the buildings.

I really had a lot of difficulty to express myself I never spoke so the first year was very complicated for me, especially in English and for social studies.

But, we had a lot of activity which allowed me to release this pressure a bit and enjoy with my friends so these were really great memories.

Difficulties

At the beginning of the first year I had some difficulties because during my kindergarten and my primary school years I was in immersion in dutch in Frasnes-Lez-Gosselies, so I spoke more Dutch than English, and sometimes I still hesitate Noémie

I had some difficultes in English and social study because I’ve never been in immersion before.I was also disapointed because all my friends were to Pont-A-Celle. Noah

The first thing I remember about my immersion year is that the teachers never refused to help for something so don't ever hesitate to ask for help

At the end of December, we had to come at school to sell cougnous. We prepared this activity to have money for the 2nd year trip. We finally didn't travel because of the covid.

Maxine: My second year was quite easy, I don't have a lot difficulties, I learn a lot of new things and it's very cool to speak very well english, especially when I am in vacation, I can speak with the other people and it's so cool.

Olivia : In the second year I had less difficulty understanding the teachers who spoke English with us. I adapted to the level of the other students. I learned a lot of new things and made other friends. This second year of immersion was really great!

The 2nd year immersion did immersion sweater , they are grey and red, with our name and immersion team at the back, its very cool because we are like"proud" of it. 

We meet us in the holliday stage of miss herbinaux. It's was very funny and a good training for the immersion. We are very stressed to come on st-michel on immersion because it's a new school new friends and new teacher.

Before doing our last activity with the first year class, we went to quick .

We went to Laser X Evolution to have a memory and to have a great moment together. That was just after our sciences exam. The reports will be distribute the week after.

THE 1ST YEAR IN IMMERSION

hello everybody , I'm going to present the best event of my 1st year in immersion

about what was unforgettable : we had a laser game at the end of the year what was great 

We also were to mccdonald just before the laser game

We also did the thanks giving wich is an American event where we cook and eat pancakes

First year was simple, we worked in different units, where we had to describe the class, our house, etc. The vocabulary was to study for a special date.

First year was my first year in immersion. That was not a problem because I understood well the lessons. Teachers was cool and we did a lot of activities to improve our English.

The first day I was lost because for me it was a new school I wasn't there in primary with the others and I wasn't with my half brother Pierrick and Fiona. So the first week, I stayed with Fiona, but after I made friends and everything went well but I still saw Fiona at school and outside we saw each other all the time.

After, in the second year it is easier I would say anyway for my part it was easier because I knew more people I know a little the method of some profs ect&nbsp; But I still have this difficulty to express myself but I still manage so it’s okay&nbsp;

Normaly in the second years of immersion we go on england, but first england it's not on a european contry yet and second the marvelous covid-19 chose otherwise.

with the covid-19 we start immersion with the mask. we had a little difficulties to understand how to pronunce all the sentences.

The second year, was easier than the first years because during the summer I revise my English, so I think it was easier to understand what the teachers says.

and it's was really just a question of expressions but after I hope I can speak well english.

Sooo I'm going to present you my 2 first years in immersion but yeah in secondary because I'm in immersion since kindergarten. Immersion is a bit stressful because when you arrive in class and you know some people but not the all class because in primary i always knew everybody but here it was different. I'm good into listening and reading test but writing test are not my facilities and speakings is too stressful but it's alright last report I had the best grades in English, i had 92%. I was proud of me because I did well. I think English is not an easy languages but i thinks dutch is quite harder because it's a language that i never try before so it would be different. English is my favorite language. In English we can, express some words that we can't in french... yes we can but it would make no sense. I take this example every time because it's true you know the song of Maroon 5 : "Sugar" if we translate it in french it make no sense as I said. Li0na

Hello, i'm going to present you my two secondary first years I first started English when I was in kindergarten, I was like almost everyone a bit stress but my mom says that she would do English with me but I thought my mom would come with me in class but no of course, I was a little bit surprise, when I have to come bake home I didn't want to come back and I already wanted to go back school. Then I did all my primary in English I loved so much and I still love, now i'm in secondary and still in English. I always thank my mom to obliged me to go in Immersion English because people are saying that English is hard and I'm proud to speak English that I learned at school and by myself. Emy

I'm was not very scared because my brother is also in immersion so when i have a question he can answer it

when i arrived at st-michel the first day of school, i seen all of my friends of primary.

for my first year i was with my friends so it's easier to have a place in the classsroom
