A Parallel Adventure

“Why did we agree to that dare?”I asked.
“Do you want to look wimpy in front of the cool kids!”Conor replied.
“No,”Me and Joel said in sync.”Jynx you owe me a can of soda,”I say obnoxiously.
“This again,”Joel moaned.
“Oh, shut up you two,”Conor snarled while slapping both of us across the head.After about 15 minutes of walking we found the school.”Look we’re here now,” Conor announced.
“Finally,”I complained
“It only took 15 minutes, couch potato,” Joel said teasing me
“You wanna go mate, I do boxing,” I threatened
“Oh yeah c’mon, or are you too scared,”Joel said mocking me.
“You asked for it!”I yelled while flying a punch right at Joel's face.
“Stop!”Conor yelled while stopping my most powerful punch 3 cm away from Joel's face.
“Cut it out you two,there's no time for fighting, we gotta go in or we’ll get thumped,”Conor said.
“You’re lucky” I said still wanting to thump Joel.

As we approached the old, abandoned school my knees began to knock against each other, my heart was racing a million miles an hour.The school was wide, windows smashed, graffiti everywhere, paint was peeling off the walls, vines were climbing up the walls like mountain climbers.As we approached the gate it with a creak! It was like a ghost was welcoming us.As we ambled in the wind blew, I heard a voice whisper,”Leave or face your doom!”It yelled.”I think we should leave, like now,”I suggested.”Why, it’s just going to be another great adventure,”Joel said very convincingly
“Ok,”I said sounding glump.We all took one step forward into the school not knowing what awaited us.

“Maybe we should explore, this is one of the biggest schools in the world,”Joel explained.
“That’s true,”Conor agreed.
“We should split up,”Joel suggested.
“Do you not remember the rumors of that monster?”I whimpered
“There just silly old tales, ignore them,”Conor replied trying to comfort me.
“Okay fine I’ll go left,”I said
“I’ll go right,”Joel said.
“I’ll go middle, just yell if you see anything,”Conor said.As we split up I started to regret this decision.The further you venture the less graffiti you see,It’s like they saw something or they were too scared.”What’s this?”I question.I touch it it felt like fresh graffiti,it’s red, dripping slower than graffiti would and it doesn’t look like a word or anything.”Guys I think I found something!”I shouted out to the other two.”What is it?”Conor asked.
“It’s this, but where’s Joel?”I replied.
”I don’t know, we’ll look for him later, he probably didn’t hear you,”Conor said trying to convince me.
“Okay,”I replied.

“It kinda looks like blo-.AHHHH!Conor’s last word was cut short by a scream.Conor and I ran towards where the scream was coming from.When we got there we saw Joel hiding in a jungle like native garden.We looked around assuming that Joel was okay,Then we saw it,

It looked humanoid, big, tall, taller than me.It was blue with red and grey.It looked like Captain America but it wanted to feast on people rather save them.It had large mandibles ready to feast on anything it could get it’s claws on.We looked back at Joel telling him to come over here in sign language.He started walking at first then he started to run,As his foot hit the concrete.Bang!Joel had grabbed the monsters attention on accident.It started running so we started sprinting.We ran to the gate.”It’s locked,”Conor said pointing out the obvious.
“Hide,”I said.We ran around like headless chickens for 10 seconds.

I found a hiding spot, then the other two came and hid with me.We were like sardines in a tin.We heard footsteps, we all went silent.After about an hour we hopped out of our closet.”It’s night,let’s go hide in the native garden,”Conor suggested.
“Okay, but we will kill it aye,”I agreed.
“Yeah,”Conor agreed.We set up camp and fell into a deep sleep.When I woke up there were scratch marks everywhere and Joel and Conor were gone.I grabbed the spear that we made before we went to sleep.I ran towards were we last saw it.When I got there I saw Joel and Conor chained to wall.I saw not one but three monsters patrolling the area.”Where did they come from,”I asked.Then I saw Brad the kid that dared us to this.He was sitting on a throne whipping the monsters.”That stupid Brad thinking he owns everything, CHARGE!”I yelled charging at Brad.”Hey!You three it’s bed time light’s out.”Mum said.”Okay Mum,”I moaned.”Night everyone,”I said to the other two.
