Nelson Mandela was born on July 18, 1918 in Mvezo.&nbsp;He grew up in the village of Qunu with two sisters and a mother. He helped keep the herd of cattle and spent a lot of time in the yard with other boys.&nbsp;The future politician decided to study law. After graduating in 1952, he opened the first office for the black people of the Union of South Africa.&nbsp;He was one&nbsp;of the few&nbsp;winners of the Nobel Peace Prize.&nbsp;Mandela's entire life was devoted to the fight against apartheid - a South African political system that emerged in the late 1940s.&nbsp;He died on December 5, 2013 in Johannesburg.&nbsp;&nbsp;
