About Me!
Hi guys!
My name is Maddie!

I am a student in PLP where we create different projects to show our growth and learning.

I enjoy field hockey, reading, swimming, music and art.

Skill 1 : Lines and Pressure

At the beginning of our drawing unit, we started by learning the technique of using different pens to create texture and pressure to create different lines. We were taught multiple styles to write our names in. I chose bubble letters because I have more experience in writing with them and I felt more comfortable with creating better art if I used them. I never originally planned to create a sunset look, but I felt like it showcased my skill with using the smudge pen and shading colours together.
Skill 2 : Doodling!
Our next challenge was to create an emoji. I tried to find a emoji that represented who I am as a person and this was my most used emoji. The most difficult part of the emoji was getting the right blend. I tried using 7 different shades to layer together then use the smudge pen to blend smoothly together. I actually enjoyed blending everything together because it was fun too see everything come together. I am proud of myself and for accomplishing my goal of creating a realistic emoji.
Skill 3 : Lights and Shadows!

The point of creating our robots was to try and shade it to make it more realistic. I wanted to try and use the watercolour brush to create a more combined, smooth blend. I found it difficult to use the watercolour brush because of I erased a section of it, it could layer on darker when I would try and fix my mistake. This what such a fun project to have though. I really enjoyed creating my own character and adding interesting colours and shading styles.
