How do we learn about the past, especially before history was recorded? What connects ancient and modern people? Third graders have been exploring these questions and more through the study of archaeology. We have been excited to examine the artifacts of DIS staff, petroglyphs in Korea, and more! We are ready to begin exploring ancient and modern civilizations as archaeologists!

Grade 2 looks a little different this year! You'll no longer find standard desks and chairs in rooms 104 or 105. In their place are a variety of seating options which include yoga balls, yoga matts, swivel stools, standing tables, lowered tables, cushions, and bean bags. 2nd graders are enjoying the freedom to choose a comfortable spot where they work best. Flexible seating is off to a great start this year!
