What did Christians believe?
-Christians believe that there is only one God – Jesus Christ
-Christians recognize Jesus as the Son of God who was sent to save mankind from death and sin.
-Christians believe in justification by faith - that through their belief in Jesus as the Son of God, and in his death and resurrection, they can have a right relationship with God whose forgiveness was made once and for all through the death of Jesus Christ.

- Christians believe that there is a life after early death. While the actual nature of this life is not known, Christians believe that many spiritual experiences in this life help to give them some idea of what it will be like being an immortal.
How do Christians practice their belief?
- Christian worship involves praising God in music and speech, readings from scripture, prayers of various sorts, a sermon, and various holy ceremonies (often called sacraments) such as the Eucharist.
- Christians see worship as something that they don't only do for God, but that God, through Jesus's example and the existence of the Holy Spirit is also at work in.
-In many churches the focal point is the communion table (or altar in some traditions), emphasising the centrality of the communion in faith and worship.
How did Christianity spread in the Roman Empire?
- Matthew Mark Luke John who is on of the primary followers of Jesus told the rest of them to spread the words.
- Peter and Paul are also very significant Apostles.
- At first Paul was persecuting Christians, but then he was the one who went on a long journey to spread Christianity.
- In the decades after Jesus's death, the Apostle Paul wrote many letters that are now part of the New Testament of the Christian Bible. Paul was a Roman citizen and sent these letters to small communities of Christians living throughout the Roman Empire.
How did Christianity change the Roman Empire? Why would an emperor use a belief to help them govern?
-Government passed laws which favoured Christianity, and the government contributed money that allows the churches help the widows and the sick.
-Constantine was the first emperor to pass laws limiting the Jews’ rights as Roman citizens.
-By the end of the ad 300s, church leaders felt powerful enough to give commands to emperors or even punish them.
