E-twinning Project

Kindergarten of Agios Kirikos, 2022-2023.

The material that columns can contain are NEWS (collaborative articles, pod casts) CULTURAL TOPICS (collaborative stories, collaborative paintings, collaborative poems) ENTERTAINMENT (,STEAM, digital board games, collaborative videos) SPORTS (interactive traditional games, sports games ) MUSIC (collection of music or songs, collaborative songs or music). Columns contain material around a specific theme that changes each month. More than 22 cooperative schools from Greece and abroad (Sweden, Italy, Spain, Turkey) operate in small groups and produce material to enrich the newspaper.

E- Twinning “Happy Journalists”!

In this project, curious students transform into active journalists and publish the world's most vibrant digital newspaper. Following this e-twinning project, students from different schools collaborate and create collaborative sheets of a digital newspaper. They publish a monthly newspaper consisting of fixed columns which are: news, cultural topics, entertainment, sports, music.

Five countries and more than 30 schools joined together to create a digital newspaper.

First, each school presented the country and the place in which it is located as well as its location.

We then split into five smaller groups for better collaboration and communication between members. The division of groups was done randomly in an online meeting of all schools and schools from all countries were added to each group.

After the parents were informed about the e-twinning project that we participate in with our partners, we asked them for their written consent.

Each school undertook to prepare its own logo for the newspaper and through a vote we all chose the one we liked best.

Finally, the kids had to name the collaborative newspaper!

Each school proposed its own name and after a vote was taken, we named our own digital newspaper..

During the online meetings of the partners, each one of us deposited his experience about the issue that had been published, the impact it had on parents and wider society, how much interest the children showed in the topic and the column they had, and finally the planning was done for the next version.

In the online meeting through a game we found the topic that we will deal with in the month of January. This month's theme is "Winter" and the 3rd group has taken over the "Entertainment" column.
