Acceptance is respecting the differences of other people. Learning happens best when it is done both at school and at home. Here are some ways that you can continue to learn about the character trait of acceptance:

READ ABOUT IT

TALK ABOUT IT
  • What is one way you can show acceptance at school?
  • Has anyone made you feel accepted?
  • Think about someone that is different from you. How are their differences special?
  • Would the world be a boring place if everyone was the same.

TRY IT OUT
Here are some suggestions for Arrowhead kids to show acceptance.
  • Think before you speak. Always be kind!
  • Don’t use mean words to describe another person.
  • Ask others if they need help.
  • Imagine what words make others feel good inside.
  • Always believe we are all unique in our own way.
