It was a Friday evening and I was feeling tired from a long week. 
I was looking forward to the 
weekend after my noisy beginning 
band club had just ended. 

“Those drummers are pretty good, 
but there’s a lot of 
work to do”, I thought. 

I was straightening my classroom 
when my wife texted me. 


“Shall we meet at the Thai restaurant?” she asked.

Mmm, every day is a good day for Thai food and it would taste especially 
good today since I was feeling 
so beat. 

“Sure”, I replied.

Sure!

I left my classroom and headed for the stairs. Oh no! someone forgot to put the paints away. 

While I was putting the plastic plates 
in the cupboard, I glanced outside to see that it was still raining.
