Instructions:

1. Fill each cup with garden soil 2. Label them cup 1 (for the worm castings), cup 2 (for the fertiliser) and cup 3 (nothing —&gt; Control) 3. In cup 1, mix the soil with one tablespoon of worm castings For cup 2, mix fertiliser into the soil —&gt; ask teacher how much cup 3 is the control tub --&gt; no fertiliser or worm castings 4. In each cup, add half a teaspoon of grass seeds and press seeds into the soil a little

5. Water the soil with three tablespoons of water 6. Place the cups next to the window where there is sunshine 7. Water the soil everyday with 1-2 tablespoons of water. If the soil looks very dry, add more water 8. Keep the experiment going for 3-4 weeks and record observations on the Worksheet

Dieses Buch richtet sich an Schüler:innen aus der dritten oder vierten Klasse einer bilingualen Grund-schule. Bevor Schüler:innen damit arbeiten können, müssen sie in die Arbeit mit MuxBooks eingewiesen werden und etwas Erfahrung sammeln. Beim <a href="https://www.ph-freiburg.de/biologie/biolab.html">BioLab digital </a>der PH Freiburg erhalten Sie Materialien zur Nutzung. Schüler:innen sollten im Vorfeld ausprobieren, wie sie ihr eigenes Buch gestalten können, Seiten einfügen und verschieben, Tonaufnahmen machen.

Gehen Sie das MuxBooks genau durch und ergänzen an Ihre Schüler:innen angepasste Materialien und scaf-folding. Die Versuche ab Seite 35 können auch die eigenen Versuche ersetzen. Dann sollte die Aufgabenstellung für die digitale Story von Anfang an anders sein: Schüler:innen können dann nicht gänzlich frei eigene Ideen verfolgen sondern sollen erst die Versuche durchführen und anschließend Ideen für die Story sammeln. Sollten Sie dies präferieren, ziehen Sie einfach S. 27-31 weiter nach hinten und passen Sie die Beschreibung auf S. 33 an.
