Look, I didn’t want to go back in time, I mean it could’ve been someone on the other side of the world but why did it have to be me. At first, I was just surprised that I could time travel, but then I realized it puts your life in so much more danger than ever before. Before I did not want to be like the others that lived in Texas and went to school at evergreen, now I want to be just like that.
My parents know nothing about what had happened on that day, every time I say something about time traveling, it is like someone is rewinding that moment with a remote, and going back to the word I said before time traveling, never letting me say anything about it. It's not like it is my first time I’ve seen something weird, but I eventually gave up on trying to tell my parents about it.
There is only one person that I am glad I can tell about time travel; she also experienced time travel too. My sister Katherine.
I’m Hudson Stetson, and I am in 7th grade. Things started getting weird and crazy on November 13th; I was heading to school.
It was cool, and the sky looked smoky, as I walked out of the door a blast of icy air greeted me. “Hudson, you can’t stop right in front of the door, scurry along penguin.” Yelled Katherine. I wanted to go inside by the fireplace and warm up my icy fingers but when Katherine yells an insult at me I have to accept the challenge and move along, sooner or later I knew she was going to get cold and I wanted to yell an insult back at her. Today she was wearing her usual CHEER shirt and high heel shoes. A year ago when she was in 5th grade, she tried to convince mom to get her 2 inch high heels because she wanted to be just like sassy friends.

Friday is my favorite day of the week, but today I wasn’t looking forward to going to school, and I can’t quite put my finger on it, all I know is that it’s not because of the Russian history test we have today. To get to school, we have to cross a dark alley, and that’s where all the not so good kids go to, like creepy Tod Chucky. As my mind is about to trail off into other random things, I notice that something is wrong with Katherine, the color in her face has drained out looking like she was given a waterlog. “Katherine, I know you, and I know that there is something wrong.” She stayed silent for a while, and once she passed the alley, she suddenly sighed, “I was trying to think about the image I had in my head after we left the house. I had a sudden feeling that when we passed the alley, someone would...” In the blink of an eye she was on the ground, and before she went unconscious, I heard her whisper run.

If someone told you to run you probably would but I did not. I just stood right in front of my sister's unconscious body trying to figure out why she had fainted. After a minute of standing in front of my sister, I finally realized why she said run. There at the very front of the alley was Tod Stetson rubbing his necklace.
Two months ago, during Ms. Val’s math class the electricity went off, almost everyone was screaming because they said it was darker than the color jet black but since I was sitting right next to Tod I could see because of his glowing necklace that would only glow when he rubbed it. Now the weird thing was that at this second I could not move and he was about 5 meters in front of me. A second later, I was strapped into a chair and right next to me was Katherine that was now conscious. It took a while for my eyes to adjust to the surroundings but eventually, I realized that we were in my room and Tod Stetson was standing right in front of us, with a big mysterious grin on his face. “How...”
“No don’t start with, How did we get here, start with what is our task.” Said Tod, mimicking my voice. How did he know I was going to say that and what is our task? “Hudson, you and Katherine’s task is to go back in time and save Anastasia’s life and bring her to 2018.” Can he mind read? “No, I can not mind read Hudson and Katherine.” Yelled Tod now getting furious. “Yeah, and how do we know you're not pulling another one of your pranks!” I yelled
“Because if you don’t, believe me, I will make you forget that you were ever siblings, like what I did to Ms. Val and her twin sister Dal.” ___Tod. That day she kept on shuddering and walking around the room like a lost dog. Thinking back to that moment made me desolate making me think of a life with no little sister. Simultaneously we looked at each other, looking into Katherine’s innocent eyes made me dread about putting her life in danger.

“How ‘bout now.” Tod pulled his necklace from his neck and rapidly said, “Send Katherine and Hudson to 1965.” He then threw the necklace into my hand and said, “good luck.”
