Silver and the Three Pirates

Introduction

„ One day I will be very rich!!! I will stay a nobleman. Everyone will be

anxious to please me! I will be very happy and I won’t have to work at all”-

thinks Silver.

John Silver is on the Treasure Island with his companions. He is

going to find a treasure and kill everyone who will stand in his way. He

has no idea that everything will change in one moment and that his

behaviour will go through a considerable alteration.

Chapter 1

Lana’s Story

One day, while on the island,Silver hears beautiful singing.
John Long ,as he follows the voice, sees a mermaid. It turns out that there is a beautiful mermaid sitting on the rock on the seashore. Silver comes closer and thinks that he has never seen someone like this before. Her singing calms him down and attracts him. The girl has got a long algae – coloured tail and waist-length straight hair. There is a membrane among her fingers. The scales are not only on her tail but also around her chest.The girl stops singing and says:
- I know that I am the one you are looking for. Come closer.
Silver gets knee-deep into the water and then says:
- Who are you? – he asked. – Where did you learn to sing like that?
- Do you always flood everyone with questions like this? – the mermaid says with a visible smile on her face.

- I’m Lana and I always sing. It’s my hobby. I’ve never heard about a school for sea creatures… Or maybe you know one?Your appearance tells me clearly that you are not from here.
- I have never heard about any such schools or workshops so far -
he replied with a laugh.
– I’m Silver, John Silver. My story is too long to be told but yes, you are right, I’m not from here.
- My story isn’t too short either but to cut the long story short I was Flint’s wife. Yes, that Flint who swam for the treasure with his companions and me. As most of them were greedy and they only wanted to find a treasure, the Lord of the Seas punished them by sending them back with nothing and turned me into a mermaid.But he gave me the mission to fulfill. I have to do good to be back as a human being. You should help me with this.What will happen if I don’t help you? –Silver asked.

Lana concentrates for a moment.Suddenly,a whirlpool carries the pirate away so he almost loses his balance. After a few minutes the current calms down.
- Okay, then. What should I do? – Silver asked, a little frightened.
- Bring me your companions here, but that later. For now, you are to watch over the merry troop of pirates who have come to the island. Don’t let anything happen to the youngest,Jim.
Silver nods his head and gets out of the water. And then he walks away from the girl. Lana only smiles. The best secrets are known by only one person, its owner.

Chapter 2

John Silver’s Story

Silver thinks for a long time how he can help Lana and what her mission doing good is about. He is surprised to learn that the Lord of the Seas sometimes turns into Ben Gunn and for some time he supports Captain Smollett’s team. He keeps thinking why Jim needs special protection. The curiosity and the impression Lana made to him, tears his previous plans to return home to his ordinary life down. Silver comes back to his comrades and asks if they heard beautiful singing coming from the other side of the island. It turns out that everyone heard it but they were afraid that the others would think they were crazy. John tells about meeting the mermaid and about the task he has to do. His companions answer that he can rely on them.
John is looking forward to meeting Lana so he spends most of his time on the beach . He hopes to see her again. After three days she emerges from the water.

- Nice to see you, John. What a nice coincidence that you are right here.
- Honestly, I’ve been waiting for you for three days.
- Then you’ve had a lot of time to think.What’s your decision?
- We decided that we would like to help you.
- Have you got any plans?
- Yes, of course. We will help Captain Smollett’s crew and we never let anybody hurt Jim. We’ll help the youngest and anyone who is a good person. I’ll make sure his crew leave the island and take their half of the treasure. After our return, we could divide our half of the treasure into two parts – one for righting the wrong caused by the pirates, the other one to hide and keep as the Flint’s treasure.
- I’m glad to hear that. And thank you very much. Will you come back here again, John?
- Will you still be here, on the island? – John asked.
- Yes, because it is the most beautiful place in the whole world.- Lana smiled and swam away.
Silver smiled too, because he knew for sure he would come back on the island for Lana ….
