''WINTER IN MY HOMETOWN''

OUR AIMS AT THIS PROJECT


-to practice the subjects that the students have learnt within the curriculum

-to use English for communication 

-to learn more about different cultures and meet new friends

-to share their works and experiences

-to use Web tools correctly while learning English

-to talk about their feelings, likes and thoughts

-to understand the importance of helping animals and people in need in winter

CHAPTER 1  To practice the subjects that students have learned within curriculum

1a to use English for communication, practice different structures :
Each student introduced himself/herself on students’ page.

1b to understand the importance of helping animals and people:
Some helped animals in winter and took care of the animals in their school shelter. Some looked after them in their home or in the neighbourhood.

1c    to learn about health and hygiene:
Students learned the right hygiene with the collaboration of "the steps of washing hands correctly". They learned to use Web 2.0 tools.

CHAPTER 2 To Learn About Different Cultures And Meet Friends

1)    To Make A Webinar : Students made a webinar with the help of their teachers in the class . They saw each other at the webinar for the first time so webinar was a good choice for meeting each other.

2)     To Prepare A School Board AT School:
At the beginning of our Project we prepare a school board for introducing our Project. Our students collected some information obout the winter season and they exhibited this informative images in their schools. The other students in the etwinning saw those boards from twinspace and this made an awareness about the Project. Each school had different cultures for preparing their boards.

3)   To Learn The Tips For Being Healthy : Our students gave some clues for being healthy in winter. Because of living different cities and countries they have different food and drinks ( such as Boza) with the help of this Project they learned those differences.

4)   To arrange parties: Students made a Winter Party at the beginning of the winter to say ‘welcome’ to the winter season and made a Spring Party  to say ’ Hello’ to the spring season. With the help of those parties they learned about their different entertainment styles.
