Billing is when two birds rub their beaks together.

Once on land, the pairs reunite with the colny.

They will make their burrows then lay their eggs. They take turns incubating.

They will look at the mates feet and bill.

They also have waterproof feathers for swimming.

They have sharp beaks and claws to make their burrows.

webbed feet help them steer and swim fast.

Bill means a bird's beak.

Incubating means keeping something safe and warm.

Waterproof means an object or animal can drop into the water with out getting damaged.

Puffins live in the Arctic.For most of the year they live on the open ocean.They are small sea birds.They are 25 cm long.They eat herring,hake,capelin and sand eels.They drink salt water.The Puffin has black and white feathers it has a beak like a hornbill, it has a brightly colored beak and two bright orange webbed feet. They spend most of their lives in the sea.They are really good at diving they are not related to penguins at all.&nbsp;
