Welcome from Nursery Manager
Hello and welcome. I am Mrs Griffin and I manage Probus School Nursery. I am your main contact with whom you will arrange sessions at the Nursery. You can contact me at hello@probusschool.co.uk.
I very much look forward to meeting your child and helping them make a flying start at our lovely Nursery.
Meet the Early Years Team Leader
Mrs Jones is a dedicated and passionate Early Years specialist, who will be your main point of contact for EYFS. Her responsibilities include staff development, communications with parents and leading the Early Years curriculum.
Mrs Jones is the main teacher for the Reception class and work with experienced practitioners to ensure quality, creative provision for your child.

Head of School Welcome
Probus Nursery is a wonderful place for your child to begin their journey in education. Our caring, supportive staff realise they will be partnering you on a crucial stage of your child's journey. Our EYFS lead, Mrs Jones, oversees both phases of the Early Years to ensure our values and learning is coherent and embedded from the moment your child enters our care.
We are very proud of our beautiful outdoor areas and believe the environment to be the "third teacher." Each day staff prepare the spaces for guided exploration and adventure, to keep the learning fresh and child initiated.
It is a joy to share time in this happy and vibrant place and to see our youngest pupils achieving and developing confidence in EYFS. Our experienced Nursery manager Mrs Griffen guides the provision with clarity and creativity and children benefit greatly from a team with wellbeing for the child at the centre of everything they do.
Our aim is to welcome children into the school with warmth and continuity so that there "home for learning" feels safe, happy and stimulating.

Our Nursery Day
Sessions offered
Our morning sessions start at 08:45 and finish at 11.45.
Our afternoon sessions start at 12.15 and finish at 15:15.
Each session is three hours and the full day is six hours and thirty minutes.
Parents wishing to exceed their 15 or 30 hour allocation for funding will be charged at £5.00 per hour for all additional hours.
Nursery Uniform
Pupils can wear their own clothes to Nursery and there is no requirement to wear a uniform. Most children like to wear the school jumper or cardigan, especially as they become close to graduating into our reception class.
Our jumpers are available from age 3-4 at Kea School wear. The PTA offer a clothes exchange in the main school foyer in which you can pick up a jumper for free.
Your child will need practical clothes so they can play freely outdoors. Welly boats, water proof coats and hats essential for the cooler months. All labelled please!
