Welcome to Kids' Club Probus

It is my pleasure and privilege to be Head of School of this happy school and we are so fortunate to have on our site a wonderful wraparound care service, Kids Club Probus.&nbsp;&nbsp; Our dedicated wraparound care staff are committed to nurturing and caring for your children, ensuring they receive breakfast before school and enabling them to unwind and have fun at the end of a busy school day.

Kids' Club Probus is just one of the things that makes Probus Primary School a very special place but it relies on parent support to keep it going! I am sure that if you ask the children who attend you will hear all about what they get up to, the care they receive, the activities they get involved in and the friends made from across the year groups. Welcome to Probus Kids' Club Handbook 2022-23

Children must be booked into the club via ParentPay.&nbsp;If you have to cancel your booking please inform a member of staff immediately (or let the school office know ASAP).&nbsp;If for any reason you no longer need the facilities of Kids' Club after school please inform a member of staff ASAP (so that we know your child has gone home safely). 

Please find a price list at the back of this handbook. A registration form is available on the website at <a href="http://www.probusschool.org.uk/holiday-club">http://www.probusschool.org.uk</a> or from the school office/Kids' Club. This must be completed before your child attends their first session.&nbsp;&nbsp; Please note payment for your childcare must be paid via ParentPay at the time of booking.

Kids' Club Probus is available to children the term after their 3rd Birthday -11 years attending Probus Primary School at the discretion of the setting. At times we will consider a younger pupil who attends our Nursery but this is on an individual basis as an early years member of staff needs to be available.

The club is open Monday to Friday: Breakfast Club:&nbsp;7.45am ~ 8.45am After School Club: 3.15pm ~ 5.30pm

EYFS can only attend Breakfast Club on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

Kids Club is managed by Mrs Adams. All our staff are DBS checked and have up to date First Aid qualifications. We do not open on Bank Holidays or School INSET days. Children attending extra-curricular school clubs can be booked into Kids' Club and will be brought in by a member of staff.&nbsp;

All children have the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities ranging from outdoor play (including time on the play equipment), football, treasure hunts/trails, board games/puzzles, arts and crafts. We also have fun on the 'Wii' games machine, air hockey and football table.&nbsp;On Fridays we enjoy a DVD film (complete with popcorn &amp; hot chocolate!).&nbsp;

If we have not received a phone call or email informing us that you will be late to pick up your child you will incur a charge, details of which can be found at the back of this handbook. Please note we operate a ‘three strikes you’re out’ policy.&nbsp;If you are over 10 minutes late collecting your child three times per term, you will no longer be able to use Kids' Club for the remainder of the term. We would like all children to be collected by 5.30pm.&nbsp;If you are running late and need someone else to collect your child(ren), please call 01726 882647 (*3) or email <a href="http://mailto:kidsclub@probusschool.org.uk">kidsclub@probusschool.org.uk</a>. The late collection charges will still apply.

Breakfast Children are offered breakfast, which includes cereal or toasted bagels/crumpets/tea cakes and fresh fruit, all served with orange juice. Snacks Children are offered a snack after school, which comprises fresh slices of fruit and vegetables alongside crackers, wraps, breadsticks and toast with cheese.&nbsp;There is a water cooler in the club and children are encouraged to help themselves during the sessions. Children who are at the club after 5pm are offered a light snack.
