I am Ms. Kali and I am so excited to welcome you to our fabulous class for this school year! I have created this book so that you and your child know what to expect for the new year.

Class Expectations

On the first day of school, I will have our class create a list of classroom expectations that we will all follow throughout the year.

Some expectations that I have for you include:
*Be present and always be ready to learn
*Give everything your 110% effort
*Show respect to your classmates and teachers
*Allow yourself to make mistakes but
learn from them

What we will cover this year

Language Arts/ Reading: Opinion writing, research writing

Math: Number theories, multiplication and division, fractions and decimals, geometry, perimeter and area

Science: Matter, energy and force, ecology, light and sound, astronomy

Social Studies: Oregon history, civil rights, the pilgrims.
