The church in Middle Ages
Now I learned that church divide people into ranks and controlled people's lives. The clergy's life was different by their rank. In medieval times, the church was most powerful. An example is that church own the land, laws, and taxes. In clergy, bishops leave like nobles, the priest own the church. The monks and nuns are supporting church and the pope is the head of the church. This make me think that church effect many people at medieval times like treat people to trust this religion, and the church controls the ranks of the clergy.
