Horrid Henry and the new classmate

“Class I would like you to meet our new student and she will be joining us during lunchtime recess!”shouted Ms Battle Axe. Horrid Henry hated new people. He hated the way they make accidents happen. But most of all he hated girl students such as Moody Margaret. Before Henry could meet the new student, he had already seen her in front of him. She crashed to the table next to her and spilled the cup of water she was holding on Horrid Henry, but that did not matter to the girl. When the girl was happy it made Henry miserable. Ms Battle Axe introduced her and she told her class that the girl’s name was Hila. More like Happy Hila to Horrid Henry.

At last, Henry had thought of a plan to make Happy Hila never come back to this school by taking away her voice and replace it with Henry’s. It took until lunchtime to get his coughing potion finished. Why did Henry wanted Happy Hila to leave? Don’t ask me why but come closer and I will tell you more. After lunchtime, Henry pretended that the potion was lemonade so Happy Hila would accidentally drink it and lose her voice.

In the playground, Henry spotted Happy Hila by the swings so Horrid Henry ran to her. “Hello Happy Hila, would you like to drink this tasty lemonade I just brought from the cafeteria? It is really delicious,” Henry bragged. But Happy Hila seemed to not like the sound of that so she answered “I don’t think I want to, you see I rather play and swing with Lazy Linda.” As grumpy as an elephant, he tried to think of a way to make Hila to drink his potion. Happy Hila smiled cheekily with a grin.

Without even thinking, Henry drank the potion without knowing it will make his voice disappear. It seems like Happy Hila was meant for this to happen because she had a big grin on her face. In all of a sudden, a magical puff of smoke appeared around Horrid Henry. After the magical smoke disappeared Henry could no longer be heard even if he tried to speak. Just then, something got stuck in his throat, it was a bug! He must have got the bug handbag and put it in the potion! Horrid Henry ran to the lake near the school and before long, he vomited in the water so everyone who ran to the lake after Henry, laughed except Happy Hila. Turns out, Hila was quite a Horrid girl or Henry was a bad scientist.
