Nowadays most music is recorded digitally in a recording studio.

Here are 3 ways we can use different softwares to make music

Make recordings of different voices and instruments Create tracks, by mixing recordings together Add special effects to change the sound of a voice or instrument

Think about your favorite song. If we didn't have technology to record it, you would never get to hear it again unless you knew how to play an instrument!

HOW DO WE EDIT TEXT IN A WORD PROCESSING APPLICATION?

We use it to do 6 main functions: 1. check spelling - words that are spelt incorrectly will be underlined in red. You can use the "spell check" button in the toolbar to see how to spell a word properly. 2. Bold, underline, and italics- To put a word in bold, underline, or italics, highlight the word with your mouse. Then click on the bold, underline, or italics icon in the toolbar. 3. Create lists - bullet points or numbers help make topics easier to read. Like this list you're reading now! To make a list, highlight the text with your mouse, then click on the number or bullet point icon in the toolbar. 4. Cut, copy, and paste -To move text, highlight the text you want to move with the mouse. Click on the scissors icon to cut it. Then click on the place you want to move it to. Finally, click on the clipboard icon to paste it. To copy and paste, follow the same steps, but click on the copy icon. 5. Change the font - To change the shape and style of the letters, select a font from the toolbar at the top of the page. 6. Save and print - It’s important to save your work regularly. This will help you to avoid deleting it by mistake. To save a document, click on the disc icon in the toolbar. To print it, click on the printer icon.

Most of the clothes that we buy today contain synthetic fabrics, such as nylon or viscose. Synthetic fabrics are more resistant to temperature than natural fabrics, and they don't wear out so quickly.

ISPs are companies that provide the internet, and one must pay to have access. They are not free.

Modern inventions help make healthcare more effective and efficient. Nowadays doctors use microscopes and computers to diagnose illnesses.

Thanks to modern inventions, our lives are now much easier than in the past and we have more free time. Inventions have changed the way we live in many ways.

Everything in life has Benefits and risks. Can you think of something good, and something bad that can come from the internet?

• We have instant access to information. • We can save time by doing things online. • It’s easy to contact people around the world. • People can work from remote locations.

• Viruses can damage computers. • Criminals can access and steal information, products and money. • People sometimes use the Internet to bully other people. • The information isn’t always accurate. • As people spend more and more time online, they can become reliant on the Internet.

It allows us to create, edit and print texts and documents. in fact, I'm using a word processor right now! - It is a type of software: a program that can be used with a specific computer system -We can use word processing software to help us type and edit texts like letters, articles, or even books like this! -Word processors can help make text more attractive and easy to read. If the Harddrive were a human bodypart - what body part would it be? The brain! It holds all of the memory of the computer, and instructions for how to function. Just like your brain holds all of your memories, and tells your body how to respond!

An Internet service provider (ISP) is a company that provides access to the Internet. Its clients pay money each month for this service. Many ISPs are telephone companies, for example Movistar and Vodafone

WHAT DID PEOPLE DO BEFORE WORD PROCESSING?

• Wrote texts out by hand. • Printed texts using a printing press. • Used a typewriter

Before word processors, typed out documents had to be stored in filing cabinets. Until recently, whole rooms and building were dedicated to storing documents! Now, we can store our documents on our computers!

What part of the computer do input components happen? The internal parts!

Input is how a computer receives information.

anytime you use one of these input devices.... the device transforms the message into binary code, we will talk about this more!

Output devices convert the binary code into some form of output.

Forms of output are: Images sound text movement instructions to control a robot or a 3D printer.

Did you know... your computer is currently running thousands of functions just so you can see the words on your screen!

A browser is a computer program that we use to connect to the Internet. 

EXAMPLES: Internet Explorer, Chrome and Firefox are examples of web browsers

HOW DO WE SEARCH FOR THINGS ON THE INTERNET?

To search for things on the Internet, you need 3 things:

1. A search engine. EXAMPLE: Google 2. keywords. EXAMPLE: if I wanted to find out when Rosalía was born, I would type, "Rosalía birthday" into a search engine 3.Links, links are words or pictures that take you to another web page when you click on them.

Information is stored on a hard drive. The binary information is saved using magnetic signals. Millions of tiny electric circuits are used to process information in the central processing unit (CPU) of the computer. a microprocessor is a CPU which is as big as the tip of your ﬁnger.

The Internet is a system of computers across the world. These computers are connected to each other in network. We use this network to share information instantly with people in other cities or countries.

Computers help us store large amounts of information in a small amount of space. If you couldn't keep all of your pictures and documents stored on your computer... How many boxes do you think they would fill if you had to print them out?

Technology has changed the way we eat in 2 main ways:

Automatic watering systems help farmers make sure that crops of food have enough water throughout the year.
