Halloween was first celebrated in Ireland by the Celts.
Halloween was known as the festival of Samhain or oíche Shamhna. Halloween is always celebrated on the 31st of October right in the middle of Autumn.
During the festival of Samhain (halloween) the Celts wore costumes and made huge bonfires to scare the ghosts away.
Now we celebrate halloween by wearing our favourite costume and going trick or treating. we also play lots of games or even carve pumpkins.
