What are eclipses ?
An eclipse is when one object like a planet or in our case the moon or earth passing through the shadow of another object in space.
A solar eclipse is when the moon goes in between of the sun and earth casting a shadow on a certain spot on earth, and on April 8th we will be having a solar eclipse.

The moon
The moon is very important to humans. The moon controls tides, tides are the rise and fall of sea levels. With out the moons there will be earthquakes and tsunamis almost everyday.
The Earth
The Earth is the only known planet were humans can live with out a space suit. It is the only place due to the perfect temperature for humans, the right amount of gravity, and water for humans.

Why do you wear glasses during a solar eclipse
You need to wear glasses during a solar eclipse because of the radiation. Radiation is energy that travels through space at the speed of light. If you did not wear the glasses it will burn your retinas. Retinas are a layer of cells in the back of your eyeballs, without those you will go blind
