Students created a pourquoi book in their ELA class!

Frog Pourquoi 2024

There is a deserted farm that is full of rubbage.&nbsp; It is July 13th, and it is hot and muggy outside!! There are 3 poison dart frogs. &nbsp; Their names are Ruby, June, and Maroon. They came across the farm while they were on a hike. They were hot and were looking for water and a place to rest.

The problem is the rubbage at the farm is scattered all over the place.&nbsp; It is hard to move around because there is so much stuff!&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The water well is across the farmyard and… it is almost empty! But the frogs do not know that!!

June says, “Maroon, are you ok? Let me help you remove the cans of paint off of you.”&nbsp; She throws them away but spills some more paint on herself. Ruby says, “I need a shower so let’s jump into the well!” &nbsp; So she does! Maroon says “Last one in is a dirty frog!”&nbsp;

Ruby likes to sit on cool leaves.&nbsp;&nbsp; June is nice and kind.&nbsp; She is also strong. Maroon is sassy and funny!&nbsp; She is a daredevil!&nbsp; She has wandered off sometimes and…

And that is how the poison dart frog got so colorful!

They all jump in.&nbsp;&nbsp; But little do they know that the well has only a tiny bit of water and it is a magic well. The magic makes the paint permanently stay on them!

The frogs hop over to the well, Maroon takes off without a care!&nbsp; And while she hops around, she knocks over some paint cans.&nbsp;&nbsp; The paint goes everywhere!! Including on the frogs!
