Jedlina is a settlement, part of the village Klášterec nad Orlicí in the district of Ústí nad Orlicí. It is located about 1.5 km east of Klášterec nad Orlicí. In 2020 19 addresses were proved here. The only places in the cadastral area of Klášterec nad Orlicí with an area of 17.91 km2.

Jedlina originated in the second half of the 18th century as a settlement of forest workers destined to work in noble forests. Its name probably originated from a large fir forest that once stood here.

The first teacher was Josef Šoler b. at No. 152 and Klášterec. The school was consecrated on September 12, 1909.
Josef Šoler taught here for 3 years in 1912, a new teacher Antonín Kafka, a native of Obříství near Mělník, came here.
This progressive teacher, an admirer of Czech Brotherhood, followed the methods of J. A. Komenský in his teaching work.
He wanted teaching children to be a game. Therefore, at this school he had placed the children-made and decorative inscription "Workshop of Humanity" instead of "Primary School". Soon, Jedlin toys and figurines were known throughout the country. They traveled around exhibitions. Therefore, in the winter it was housework for adults as well. And for some money, trips were organized. When the so-called minority school was established in the neighboring German village of České Petrovice, children from Jedlina went there. The school in Jedlina existed for 15 years and was abolished in 1923. Teachers of the Jedlina school:

Wooden houses, rattles, dolls and whistling animals were created in poor families in the hills around Klášterec nad Orlicí. It was sold in Prague, Brno, the Netherlands and America. They won second prize at the World's Fair in Paris. And more than one child was helped by many Jedlin schools.

Jedlina also had its own school in 1909, at the request of the village of Klášterce, a so-called school branch was established in Jedlina, because the settlement of Jedlina is quite far from Klášterec and the road to school is difficult, especially in winter.

One harsh winter happened a tragic event. On the way from school from Klášterec, 5 children froze.

On April 1, 1937, fortification work began on Jedlina. Since then, large trucks have been running continuously through Jedlina during the day, at night, in summer and in winter, if the passability of the roads allows it. And with various materials-stones, iron, cement. Several quarries were opened in Klášterec, from which only the hardest stone is exported. Workers were also housed in cottages. They worked three shifts. It was a lot of manual work, from the machines only compressors, power generators and concrete mixers.

These duties were to protect us against the enemy. but they were not used and in 1942 they were experimentally shot. And the steel towers (bells) were torn out and taken away.

In 1938, the settlement of Jedlina was taken to the Sudetenland. The border was formed by the road from no. 3 / Now Toter's /, around the old transformer, where the barrier was, in front of Holý vrch to Toman's cross near Petrovice. Everyone had to have a daily pass during the transition, even in the field. This prevent lasted 6 weeks, then was lifted.
