Aspire is a vibrant, highly successful and widely recognised trust determined to raise standards of educational achievement to the very highest levels. We don’t just aim for our children to achieve what is average or expected, but for them to excel both academically and in character.
We live in a global economy that requires our children to be prepared to think both critically and creatively, solve complex problems, and to communicate well. I am very proud to be the Head of Tregolls Academy and Nursery. On behalf of our amazing pupils, dedicated staff, parents and hub councillors I would like to welcome you to our school.
We aim to provide the best possible educational outcomes for the pupils in our care. Through our child-centred curriculum, children are encouraged to be independent learners and achieve their full potential. We have high expectations of what can be achieved, and we believe that learning should be both stimulating and enjoyable.
Our highly skilled staff and active hub council ensure that every child feels safe and secure allowing them to become happy and have successful learning experiences. We ensure that the welfare of every child is the concern of every member of staff.

What Will You See in the Early Years at Tregolls?
We have developed a carefully planned, sequential and challenging Early Years curriculum, which allows our pupils to become independent and confident thinkers who are highly motivated to achieve what they set out to do.
We believe that children should be involved in making decisions about their own learning and so we bring their fascinations and interests into our planning, which promotes high levels of well-being and engagement.
We believe that learning in the Early Years should be as practical as possible, and therefore we are proud that in our setting we have a strong ethos of learning through play. Children have daily opportunities to take part in active, child led uninterrupted play. This approach enables children to be happy, confident, problem solvers who demonstrate team-work, collaboration and children who are resilient and willing to tackle challenges when they arise.
We balance a child-initiated approach through our continuous provision and discreet adult taught sessions to ensure that children learn the fundamental skills and knowledge needed in preparation for year one and beyond.
We don’t expect every day to be the same and value the uniqueness of each child!

Our EYFS provision, both inside and outside, has recently had a big revamp and we can't wait for you to explore this further. Our children in EYFS get off to a flying start with fun and exciting learning opportunities from the moment you walk through the door.
