Journey West!

I remember the first time I heard my family was moving from Missouri to a new place called Utah.

We had to pack up all our things!

Leaving my home felt sad.

Some family members, like Granny Smith, chose to stay behind.

My parents told me it wasn't safe to stay, however. Especially after the Missouri Executive Order.

Get out!

The journey wasn't easy! Sometimes it was really hot, really cold, and very dangerous!
