by using a a map of the alphabet we can instruct the children to direct Beebot to the first letter of a shop item 

Beebots are an easy way for children to learn to code. coding is important for children as it promotes algorithmic thinking, creativity and structural thinking, as well as making maths skills more comprehensible.

our next task was the same concept but through the symbolic learning process. 

we replace picture instructions with coding.. this coding was the first letter of the direction and the amount of time it was to occur. E.g L2 = left twice and F = forward once.

there are lots of different ways in which Bee bots can be introduced in the classroom setting

our Beebots were used on maps which help the children visual see how they can direct the coding process

Beebots are a robotic form of coding used to introduce younger children to the idea of coding.

Beebots flash after every step, this lets us know when each part of the code has been completed!

Bruners stages of iconic and symbolic learning both beneift in two difeernt ways based on the learner 

for example a visual learner will have more accuracy with the iconic stage of learning as they can see through pictorial imagery the code that will be used.

however a read and write based learner will interact more with the symbolic stage of learning. the code of numbers and letter just appear visually clearer for them.

Beebots can be used in a variety of ways and can remember up to 40 codes. <br/>

once you press in a code on beebot it will remember this until cancelled by the X button

we used a map of the alphabet to give the children a guide on where to struct their Beebot to go.

opportunity for cross curricular learning can be seen in areas such as maths and literacy. 

Beebots can be coded using specific number of instructions. children can use these tools to add different codes together to create a fun and adventurous trip for it.

Beebots can also include literacy by asking the children to code out small words they may be beginning to learn in their English lessons.

Once I have been told a location to direct the Beebot to I use picture based directions to instruct my partner on what code to apply.
