Make a mini garden in a tray using natural items found in your garden or outdoor space

What to do: • 2 cups of plain flour • 2 cups of water • 1 cup of salt • 2 tablespoons of cream of tartar • Food colouring • 2 cups cornflour • Water • Food colouring – try mixing the colours together What you need: Add water to the cornflour until it becomes semi firm. You will now be able to mould this in your hands but when you stop moulding this will become runny. Add more water to make it runnier and gooier. You may wish to do this over a basin

Blend frozen bananas with a blender Add a splash of milk Really, that easy! *For extra flavour you can add chocolate spread, chocolate chips, peanut butter or vanilla essence

What you need: • 2 cups of plain flour • 2 cups of water • 1 cup of salt • 2 tablespoons of cream of tartar • Food colouring What to do: Mix together in a saucepan and bring to boil. Cook for a further two minutes until it forms a solid lump and allow to cool. Knead on a floured surface. Store in an airtight container or cling film. This should last for a few weeks. Why not try making fairy dough by adding some glitter.

What you need: • Water • Toys • Basin/deep baking tray • Variety of plastic bottles, containers, funnels, sieves, jugs • Food colouring – just a few drops can add interest • Bubbles can add interest (but if skin is sensitive use a little bubble bath rather than washing up liquid) What to do: Experiment with volume and pouring and filling and emptying containers. Add things into the water and see if they sink or float. Make up stories with toys in the water.

Fill up your lolly moulds with fresh juice and pop in the freezer (You can dilute with a little water if you like) You can also make lollies with blended fruit and yoghurt

Make a reading den from things around your house. You could use chairs, blankets or cushions. Once it's complete, snuggle up together and enjoy a good book. There a lot of great ideas in this video!

Have fun outside drawing with chalk. Chalk letters, numbers, patterns and your name for some learning fun.

Have fun painting smooth rocks and pebbles. Use paint, chalks or coloured pencils. You can add kind words on them and leave them outside where you live to bring a smile to people's faces as they walk by.

Gather your teddies, a blanket and some treats and have a teddy bear's picnic. If it's rainy you can take your picnic indoors.

Reuse some squirty spray bottles, give them a good clean and fill them with water. Have fun spraying plants, cleaning doors with spray and cloth. You can also chalk letters and numbers outside and spray the letters and numbers away for some learning fun.

Grab some cups and fill them with water, then pop in some plastic toys. Pop them in the freezer and have fun freeing the toys with spoons by bashing the ice.
