Mosquitoes

Mosquitoes hide in bushes in warm areas around the world. They also live near water. They also hide in tall grasses and weeds.

Mosquitoes are tiny insects. They have long thin legs. Males are smaller. They can be gray. When they fly, their wings make buzzing sounds.

They have two thin wings. Scales cover their wings.

Males drink nectar.  Nectar gives males energy for flying. Females drink blood. Females drink blood to grow eggs.
