It was a snowy and icy morning in Lapland. All the elves ecstatically jumped out of bed and raced rapidly to the decorated workshop. They were eager to finish making all of the wonderful toys for the well behaved children around the world! The well wrapped presents were finally ready to be placed in the huge, red, shiny sleigh.
Holly Jolly Sparkle Socks, one of the elves, decided she would go and get the old, silver key that opened the door to the sleigh. Holly ran as fast as lightning, her long blonde hair in her face as she ran to the large office where Santa’s key was stored.
She desperately searched high and low for the silver key but it was nowhere to be found. She gloomily walked back to the work shop but she was miserable as she announced “The key, it's…it’s not there“ she stuttered in a panicked voice. Every one gasped in horror! “How will Santa deliver the presents?” a confused elf added. No one answered. All of the elves raced crazily around the messy workshop, shouting orders at each other.
Santa strolled in with a puzzled expression on his face too. “What’s going on in here?” he questioned firmly. Holly Jolly Sparkle Socks told him the whole story but he was not sure what to do. He told each of his elves to go to a specific place to search for it while he retraced his steps to see if it slipped out of his sizeable pockets. Santa began looking closely in the deep snow when a group of children, named Lyla, Olivia and Jennifer, ran over to him with bright smiles.
