First day 6-11-19

On the first day we all learned each others name. The teacher put out pages from magazines that had things on them like dogs,drinks,food and many other things. And we all went up and picked a page that described us.

I wanted to join this class because I want to be better at taking pictures.
I learned that the first picture was made using asfault.

Scavenger Hunt
Today we did a scavenger hunt and so we had a sheet that had things that we had to check of like we had to take a picture of a real diamond ring. Whoever toke a picture of all 20 things the fastest won.

Rule of thirds
Rule of thirds was about how when you are taking a picture on your camera the rule of thirds is an important step of getting a persons eyes to go to the place you want them to. So instead of having your main subject in the middle of the picture. You put it on one of the dots. Where the lines touch. So when the person is looking at your picture there eyes do not just go to the middle.

Day 2

Field trip
Today we went on a field trip to Minneapolis of art and the sculpture garden.
We took pictures of some of our favorite things that we saw. And we used the rule of thirds for some of the pictures. One of my favorite pictures at the Minneapolis intatot of art was of the Macy's parade. And one of my favorite pictures at the sculpture garden was the cherry on the spoon.

Day 3

Perspective
Today we learned what it is to put perspective into a photo. Types of perspective: Linear,Diminishing size,Height,Aerail,and overlap. We also started a magazine collage. For our collage everyone was looking through magazines to find pictures that showed the rule of thirds,or perspective.

And lastly, we went around taking pictures of examples that showed perspective.

Day 4

Line
Today we had a new lesson about lines. And how lines make the persons eyes go to a different place. Types of lines: Horizontal, Vertical, Diagonal, Converging.

Fill the frame
Fill the frame is to take out the distracting,unnecessary items that might be distracting the viewer.

ABC Photography
ABC photography is when you take pictures of things that look like the letters in your name. Once you have the right letters in your name it will look like your name is made out of objects.

Day 5

Texture,pattern,and shapes

The feel or appearance of a surface.
We watched a video on texture,pattern,and shapes. One of the things he talked a lot about in the video was pattern is like repetition. And to always look for repetition in your photographs.

'Skye's The Limit Photography'
Skye Devoe came to our classroom and showed us her pictures she has took. And she also told us the key details about taking pictures of people. I thought her pictures were amazing. Some of her pictures have been on the news.

Day 6

Mini Field Trip

Today we when on a mini field trip to Makally Photography Studio. Where we learned how lighting can change a photo. And how the background is an important part of the picture.
