LTTA5 Students experiences

The week that exchange students spent in Estonia was very memorable. The presentations about each country’s cultural quirks, customs, manners, body language and stereotypes were interesting and educational. For example, I didn’t know that smoking was such a prevalent thing in Greece. I enjoyed seeing how different, yet the same, people from different countries can be. And at the same time, how different people from the same country can be. I loved helping to organize the event. I liked helping out wherever I could. What I enjoyed the most were the trips to museums and tours in the Old Towns of Tartu and Tallinn. I also liked the small events and quizzes that happened in between activities. I think the exercise where we had to play out body language and hand gestures was interesting. I enjoyed the evening where me and my friends took a Greek girl around Tartu to have Bubble Tea and sushi.

I think that communication between students of different countries could have been better and I’m sad that I didn’t really find anyone to connect with. It was unfortunate that I couldn’t host anyone and had to be away in the city for two days. There was certainly a bit of chaos and technology troubles but I think the students, the teachers, the host families and the guest speakers introducing parts of Estonian culture left an unforgettable impression of Estonia in the partners’ minds. It made me happy to hear that there were those who promised to come visit Estonia again.

Our school hosted partners from Greece, Turkey, France and Spain during the Erasmus week. All the guests were friendly and it was nice to get to know them. Every day we did different activities. For example, we were in our school for 3 days, we had lectures, learned about other cultures and did group work. On one day we went to Tartu, visited the Estonian National Museum and had a guided tour in Old Town. I enjoyed the hiking day most. On that day, we visited two open air museums and places of natural beauty (Meenikunno bog, Taevaskoja). And I got a lot of steps! I think it was a great week and we learned a lot. I might participate in some international project again in the future.

I am very happy to have had the opportunity to participate in such a program. It was fabulous, funny, interesting and so much more. I am very happy that I saw my friends again. I learnt so much about Estonia. Even living here, I didn't know the things I learnt on the trips during this week. The film we went to see in the cinema was fabulous! We didn't have much free time in the shops, but, otherwise, everything was okay. The bus rides were my favourite, we could sing, dance and just talk. The food was pretty normal everywhere. I love the people who were here, they were just fantastic, funny, kind, cheerful, people everyone would want to be with. Seto dances and songs were very beautiful and cool, it was fun to dance with them. There was a girl called Sol, who stayed with me. We went outdoors, I showed her around Saverna, introduced her to my friends, we got to play volleyball, basketball and football with everyone. It was a great week! Thank you to everyone who made it great!

It was a very fun experience for me - being able to travel almost for free and meet LOTS of new people. I was really happy to see them again when they came to Estonia :D I would’ve never thought I would ever travel as far as France. Now I’m sure I will travel a lot more to see other cultures and learn about them. Travelling with the Erasmus project and learning about cultures really opened my mindset.

My experience in Erasmus was terrific. I learned a lot of things about Estonia, gained experiences that I would never be able to get and met incredibly kind people that created some memories&nbsp;that I will never forget. At last, I believe that the project&nbsp;was really successful and I learned a lot!

The LTTA in Estonia was really fun. I met a lot of wonderful people and got some new experiences. During the trip days, we went to new places and some places where I had been before, but I still enjoyed every moment and got to know interesting things about Estonia that I didn't know before. I think our teacher Anne planned the trips super well, even when it might have been boring for some people or there wasn't so much time for shopping. Pretty much everything went according to the plan and we were almost always on time, so I'd say this project was a success! I'm glad I had a chance to participate in this project from the beginning to the end. At times, it was hard with the pandemic, but we got through it. A big thank you to everyone who has been connected with this project, it was fun!

Erasmus week was very interesting and fun for me. A French student Hugo lived in my home for a week and I learned a lot about him. Hugo saw how we live in Estonia and our country life. We had lots of fun playing volleyball and other games with partner students in the evenings. The days were quite long, so at home we only ate and slept. We did very many things during this week. I have been to most of the places that we visited on our trips but it was still very interesting to do it with people from other cultures and explain them our things. Some places we visited were even new to me, for example, Setomaa. It was good to learn about our own country and teach others about it. It was a good experience and will certainly be helpful someday.

This week was really fun and interesting. Everyone was acting really nice and well-behaved. There were no problems with people at all. Although I’m also Estonian, I learned a few new things about Estonia myself. Everything was planned super well and everyone seemed to be enjoying the trips. I loved the experience I got from this and everyone had the time of their life and got a few new friends as well. I'm very glad I had a chance to participate in this project and I hope everyone got some memorable experiences and wonderful memories to bring back home with them.

I'm really glad I've been with interesting people from different countries all week. It was a very interesting and great week. I learned a lot about Estonia and other countries. I really liked these trips in Tuesday and Wednesday. My favourite place was Lõunakeskus :D We went to the cinema to see "Apothecary Melchior". It was a really interesting and good film for me. I didn’t like workshops because they were so boring.

The time that I had in Estonia was really exciting because I got the chance to meet new people and learn about the Estonian culture. I had a great time working with the students on the projects and I also felt very welcomed by the family. In general I had an wonderful week in Estonia and this trip made me learn new things about the Estonian culture

Hi, I’m Dimitra and recently I had the chance to participate in the Erasmus project "Cultures on a palette". We got to stay in Estonia for a week. Personally, I was hosted by the same student I was hosting during their trip to Greece. She and her family were great and so were the school and the other participants. They had organized a bunch of activities and they showed us some of the most important places of Estonia. I learned a lot about their culture and about the other countries who participated as well. All in all, it was a wonderful experience in pretty much every aspect.
