MAGAZINE OF THE LTTA IN ESTONIA

After the picnic we went to an open air museum. We played a little game that we had to search for notes that were the color of our team. They were indexes about our next destination. It was fun and entertaining!!

This museum is an old Estonian village, there were a lot of old cars , agricultures tools , old traditional clothes. It felt like we were in the past. It was magic . Everyone enjoyed a lot the game in the museum  

At the end of the day, we went for a last hike . There were a lot of trees, plants (we discovered some eatable plants as well!) Everything was wonderful!! It was like a magic forest where elves, unicorns and fairies live .

 It was really interesting to discover the Middle Ages houses and the history of the city.

Then, it was the time for a maybe a moment that requires our full concentration, but it was interesting because we learned a lot of things about each country. It was the time of the presentations. we saw the stereotypes and the body language about the countries, and we learned about social codes too.

An other INCREDIBLE part, we ate ! (again) It was lunch time. For the French students it was the best canteen where they had  ever eaten ! There was a lot good  food and water with fruit  inside.

After the lunch the presentations continued...

Afterwards, it was the time for the presentations, about important songs of each country: a traditional one, a popular one and a recent one.

We had time to go back home and join our host families : everybody was invited at the farewell dinner.

At 6pm, we started the farewell dinner. Before the dinner itself, there was a ceremony during which Mrs Uibo gave us our Certificates of participation and our europasses. We got really nice presents too!&nbsp;&nbsp;

It was a big dinner prepared by the families, with so many things to eat!!!! It was delicious! After that, we started the real party ! We listened music, we danced. It was the best moment to do a beautiful farewell.

We went to visit the National Estonian Museum in Tartu. This museum is the biggest in the country and shows a timeline of Estonian history throught different objects and interactive activities.

It was a very interesting exposition and we learned a lot about the past of Estonia.

In the morning we were concentrated on the workshops, for doing this magazine but also a lot of other things like the online calendar, the compendium, the online map and the online games... We worked from 8h30 to 12h00, so it was long! But we had a break with food and drinks!!

The Monday was the first day ! We met everyone but we all were a little shy. But thanks to the Ice Breaking activities, now we can write a biography about everyone :) But first we had a great tour around the school (after it, everyone wanted this school) by two wonderful guides Marta and Annabelle in traditional costumes.

After this, it was, I think, the best part...WE EAT !!!! There were a lot of food and drinks from Estonia and it was so GOOD!

And of course, this moment, the Ice Breaking activities... the goal was to help us to speak with each other , but it was a little bit embarrassing for us because we were in the middle of a circle and we had to speak... We felt a little uncomfortable first,  but we finally managed to do it!

And the last step of the day was funny but also a little bit scary because we were in groups with persons we didn't know. We had to do a video with some elements of the presentations of each country. It was really funny ! After we did a vote for the best video ``AND THE WINNER IS...´´ Clara, Elerie, Mona, Arianne, Georgina and Verra !

At the beginning, nobody knew really what to do, but after some minutes we started and it was really funny!

We made scenarios for doing the best sketch as possible. It was hard because we were always laughing during the videos, so we had to do it again and again.

2nd day in Estonia: we visited the "border country" between Estonia and Russia : the Värska Farm Museum (Seto territory ) .

Some Seto ladies showed us traditional dancing and songs . It was beautiful and super interesting . All the ladies were very kind and seemed happy to show us those old traditions.

Last day in Estonia! We started from the school very early because we had some visits to do in Talinn and some of the teams took their plane around midday. We had a breakfast on the way and when we got to Tallin, we had a guided visit of Tallinn's medieval old town.

On Thursday, we started by a presentation about UNESCO intangible heritage by a Unesco person. We found it a bit difficult but interesting . The lady talked about Estonia's intangible heritage and intangible heritage in general. She also showed us some resources on the site of the Unesco.

In the afternoon, there was a visit at the museum about Estonian heritage, after which everybody said goodbye... with a few tears , of course!

A big thank you to the Estonian team! This trip to Estonia was so awesome and interesting!!!

After lunch we went to the cinema in Tartu to watch a thriller that takes place in Tallin in the Middle Ages. After the movie ended we had some free time at the mall. It was great!

To finish the day we went up a tower (with a lift!) which is in fact a ski jump one. The view from the top was really amazing!

Later, a guide showed us the ancient town of Tartu. We saw a church, a cathedral, the University of Tartu, the town hall, and a lot of historical and ancient places and buildings! We also learned about the history and the German and Russian influences on the city architecture.

We also had lunch at the Cafe Shakespeare. Everything was delicious and it was very classy too!

At four o'clock the master Heino Tartes invited us to his workshop and showed us the proces of making a traditional Estonian instrument. He also showed us a bit how to play and some of us tried, but we weren't very good at it... To make this instrument you need more than 3000 different pieces and years of experience!

After that Janne Suits taught us some national dances. We ended very tired but it was an amazing day!!!!

After that we visited The Upside Down House. And yes, believe it or not, everything was upside down!!! From the bed to all of the objects in the fridge!!! What a cool experience and we also took a lot of funny photos!!

Afterwards we went to the art class where we created Estonian ornaments. Some were probably more artistic than others... :)

unfortunatly we forgot to take picture...stupid us ...so here is some art by the Estonians students !!

Later, the Estonian students made a presentation about some Unesco articles. We talked about the articles in teams and we thought of a slogan for our Manifesto. The Greek team's was finally chosen: 

"One for all, all for one, for the development, promotion and distribution of cultural diversity".

THENNNNN we went for a hike in an incredible bog . We were incredibly lucky with the weather because it was really sunny and warm. In the bog there were a lot of very old trees (more than 100 years old) !

We walked in the nature on wooden planks some times they were so small that we had to pay attention on where we were walking on. We arrived to a big wooden tower in the forest, and then we went for a picnic. There were chicken nuggets, meatballs and vegetables.
